ALERT : CORONAVIRUS AND FAMILY LAW MEDIATION
In the present chaos, with courts closing, trials vacated, and uncertainty throughout the legal system, you might consider referring some of your Family Law matters to mediation.
I have been a Family Law mediator in this region, and in Melbourne, for 8 years and have conducted hundreds of mediations. I was previously a Legal Aid solicitor based at the Family Court in Albury and have been on the NSW Legal Aid Family Law Panel for the last 3 years. I am a qualified and registered FDRP.
Our team includes Alan Blackman, a local barrister, with many years’ experience in Family Law Courts. Alan has also conducted many mediations in this jurisdiction.
We can offer you dates from week commencing Monday 23rd March, 2020 .
Arrangements are fully compatible with the need for “social distancing”.
These arrangements can help parties by using telephone or online platforms such as Zoom.
An early and successful mediation will benefit your clients and your practice in these uncertain times.
Choosing Jacqueline Sutherland to provide mediation services is an effective and affordable option to settle your family law or workplace dispute.
You can rest assured your matter is in good hands with a mediator who is Nationally accredited as a mediator, Registered under the Federal Attorney General's Department as a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner and a lawyer.
By mediating you will:
- Be able to participate in the decision making of your future and not have someone else make decisions for you
- Have the opportunity to settle your matter so that you do not need to enter formal court proceedings
- Have ability to swiftly finalise your matter in a manner that is cost effective and cooperative; potentially assisting parties to keep a workable relationship whether that be in the workplace, in a family separation situation or property and business interests such as farming.
In many situations mediation can be arranged within 7 days of being confirmed by both parties.
Please call Jacqueline Sutherland to see if you can be assisted.
In all mediations you are welcome to be assisted by your lawyer.
We welcome contact from individuals, their lawyers or other professionals who feel mediation may move your matter to resolution without the need for litigation.
I was very happy with the family law, property and children mediation service provided by Jacqueline. I would not hesitate to recommend Jacqueline's mediation services
